Abstract :Mehmet Akif bir sosyolog, bir ahlakçıdır . Safahat, İslam ahlakının öğretilmesi amacıyla yapılan öğütlerle doludur. Hurafelerden arınmış İslam ahlakını öğretmeğe çalışır Akif. Bu ahlak, felsefi anlamda genel ahlak kurallarına uygundur; filozofların belirlediği temel ahlak erdemlerini de içerir. Bu ahlaka, bu erdemlere sahip bir nesil hayal etmiş ve adına Asım’ın nesli demiştir; bilgili, yiğit, doğru, iffetli, adil bir nesil.
