Abstract :İnsanların ve milletlerin uğradığı bütün kötülüklerin, sıkıntıların, felaketlerin sebebi cehalettir diyor Akif. Cehaleti ortadan kaldırmak için eğitim şarttır. Eğitim yaygın, milli ve ilmi olmalıdır. Eğitimin amacı bilgili, becerikli, ahlaklı, çalışkan, cesur insan yetiştirmek olmalıdır. İyi eğitim ancak iyi yetiştirilmiş öğretmenler sayesin olur. Osmanlının yıkılmasının, İslam ülkelerinin sömürge haline gelmesinin tek sebebi vardır o da cehalettir. İgnorance is the cause of all the avil, troubles and disasters suffered by people and nations, says Akif. Education is essantial to eliminate İgnorance. Education should be non-formal,nasional and scientific. The aim of education should be to raise knowledgeable, skilled, moral, hardworking, brave people. Good education can only be achieved through well- trained techers. There is only one reason for the collapse of the Ottoman Empire and the islamic countries to become colonial.
