Abstract :Two ribosomal kinase fractions have been partially purified from reticulocyte lysates by DEAE-cellulose and phosphocellulose column chromatography. These fractions autophosphorylated the majority of the bands and phosphorylated EF-1 and elF-2|3. Addition of GSSG insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(oxidized glutathione); produced a general decrease in phosphorylation. However, phosphorylation of elF-2|3 was enhanced in the presence of GSSG.
