Abstract :ÖZET Toplumsal yaşam için en önemli gereksinim olan eğitim, bir nevi ilişkilerin aktarılma biçimidir. Eğitim felsefesi de eğitimin amacına denk görülmüş, hiçbir zaman ayrı düşünülmemiştir. Günümüz eğitim dünyasında amaç; var olan bilgiyi ve bilinmesi gerekeni bir potada biriktirip analiz ve sentez yoluyla insanı başarıya ulaştırmaktır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda çeşitli felsefi akımlar ortaya atılmıştır. Çalışmamızda bu akımlardan biri olan progressivizm incelenmiş, ayrıca neden eleştirildiğine dair açıklık getirilmeye çalışılmıştır. ABSTRACT Progressivism And A Critical Approach To Progressivism Education which is one of the important requirements for the society is a way of passing on relationships. Also, the philosophy of education has never been thought in a different way from education. The purpose of today's education is to gather the available information and to make the individual attain success through analysis and synthesis. There have been several approaches to realize this purpose. In this research progressivism which is one of these approaches has been studied, and the reasons about why it has been studied were also explained.
