Abstract :Entering the 21st century, UN peace operations have stepped into a new phase. While their mechanisms have arrived at a time of perfection and deliberation, it is to be expected that the operational capabilities will be further improved and the coordination between the UN and regional organizations will also be enhanced. These advances are not only the expectations of the UN and the international community, but also are necessary for the maintenance of world as well as regional peace and security.
