Parametric Approach for Determination of Land Quality Properties of Ankara-Gölbaşı Arae and Its Vicinity

Abstract :The aim of this research was carried out soil quality properties by using parametric system in Ankara-Gölbaşı area and its vicinity. First of all land mapping units and some parameters that require for this method were determined from 1: 25 000 scale basic soil map which was prepared before. After land quality index taken into rating of soil criteria factories considera-tion was calculated by using square root formula, suitabiliyt classification was determined for each land mapping unit. Accord-ing to the results, most of the study area’s soil quality insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(70.1-%23452 ha); consist of the best and good classes insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(S1 and S2); in terms of agricultural uses. In addition that, it was found that 15.3 % insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(4883 ha); of study area has low and rest of it has poor soil quality properties. Furthermore, this method was comprised with others methods that were applied for the same area and their results are significantly close each other.
