Abstract :Boron insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(B); absorption of in vitro seedlings of wheat insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Triticum durumDesf.); and barley insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Hordeum vulgareL.); and its accumulation in various organs were investigated using an Inductively Coupled Plasma Atomic Emission Spectrometry insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(ICPAES);. Dried plant samples insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(0.1-1 g); from 20-d old seedlings and plant culture media insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(5.0-6.0 g); were transferred into plastic bottles containing 10 ml of 65 % insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(v/v); nitric acid insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(HNO3); solution. Samples were ashed at 200°C for 40 min in a microwave insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(CEM-Mars x 5); followed by analyses in the ICP-AES device. The lowest concentration of B insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(2.2 μg B/g dry matter); accumulation was found in roots of Kiziltan-91 seedlings cultured in the control medium containing 0 mg/l B whereas the highest B accumulation insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(15.1 μg B/g dry matter); was detected again in roots of Kiziltan-91 in medium containing the highest concentration of B that was incorporated into the medium as H3BO3. Similarly, the highest level of B absorption by the shoots of Kiziltan-91 took place in media containing the highest level of boric acid insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(111.6 mg/l); with the lowest B concentration was found in shoots at the lowest medium B concentration insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(0 mg/l);, showing that there was a linear correlation with respect to B content of the culture medium and B accumulation in the organs of Kiziltan-91. The B absorption response of barley seedlings were similar to that of wheat.
