The Quality of Some Carrot Cultivars Sown at Different Sowing Times in Konya Province

Abstract :This study was conducted in growing season of year 1999 in Konya with Asubeni F1, Bertan F1, Nansen F1, Nantura F1, Nantes, Nantes SK-3, and Tito carrot varieties. Seeds were sown in plots with 2.4 m2 area with sowing of insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(25x3-5); cm on the date of 15th March, 20 th April, 20 th May and 20 th June. According to the results, the average carrot weights were obtained from Asubeni F1 variety insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(105.60 g); and aver-age carrot lenghts were obtained from Nantura F1 variety insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(17.09 g);. Extra carrot yield was found from Nantes SK-3 insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(106.6 kg/ha); and Bertan F1 insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(97.7 kg/ha); varieties. First class carrot yield were higher in Tito insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(3309 kg/da);, Asubeni F1 insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(3160 kg/da); and Nantes insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(3147 kg/da); comparison to varieties. Total soluble solid contents of Nantura F1 insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(10.17%);, Nantes insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(10.12%);, and Nantes SK-3 insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(10.22%); were found higher than the other varieties. Total soluble solid contents of carrot sown on 20 th June insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(7.3%); were the higher than the carrots sown at other sowing times. The content of beta karotene within carrot juice on 20 th June were found the highest in Asubeni F1 variety insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(3.24 mg/100 ml);. The pH of carrot juice on 20 th of june was found the highest in Asubeni F1 variety insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(6.5);. The titreteable acidity of Asubeni F1 insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(0.30 mg/100 ml); on 20 th May was found the highest.Keywords : havuç çeşitleri, tohum ekim zamanı, havuç kalitesi
