Abstract :In this research, effect of freezing-thawing and temperature on aggregate stability created by portland cement in a crust-ing soil were investigated under the laboratory conditions. Soil sample in the pots were equilibrated at field capacity water content and left for incubation a hundred days. Aggregate stability of the soil aggregates 1 to 2 mm were determined at 25th and 100th days of incubation before and after the freezing-thawing. The aggregates were packed in plastic cores and equili-brated at field capacity water content subjected to 5 freezing-thawing cycles at –12 0C. In the result, while average breakdown ration of the aggregates created by portland cement were 59.19 and 54.26 % at 25 and 100 days of incubation, respectively, breakdown ration of the aggregates in the control sample were 29.92 and 53.68 % at 25 and 100 days of incubation, respec-tively. In addition, the soil samples treated with 4 % of portland cement and control equilibrated at field capacity water content were incubated at the room condition and 25, 30, 35, 40, 45 and 50 0C. The highest aggregate stability value insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(42.47 %); was measured at 30 0C.
