Investigations on The Olive Pests of Secondary Importance, Their Population Changes and Damages in Mut District (Turkey)

Abstract :This research was conducted in totally nine olive orchard from three villages in where pesticide application is absent or very few in Mut district of Mersin province during 2001-2002. It was found 9 insect pest species as secondary importance on olive trees. These species are as follows: Bactrocera oleae Gmel. insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Dip.: Tephritidae);, Phloeotribus scarabaeoides Bern., Hylesinus oleiperda Fabr. insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Col.: Scolytidae);, Filippia oleae insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Costa);, Leucaspis riccae Targ.-Tozz. insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Hom.: Coccoidea);, Coe-norrhinus cribripennis insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Desb.);’in insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Col: Attelabidae);, Calocoris trivalis Costa insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Het.: Miridae);, Lasioptera berlesiana Paoli, Perrisia oleae Loew.’nin insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Dip. Cecidomyiidae);. Population changes of the pests in edition to infestation ratios were determined in the olive orchards. Adult number of B. oleae was maximum 17 insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(per tree); in 2001, but this number was only 5 in 2002. On the other hand, ra-tio of olive fruits infected with B. oleae larva was 8% in 2001, but it couldn’t find any one in 2002 and adult population density was low. Wintered adults of P. scarabaeoides were harmful. Other 7 pest species population densities and injury levels were very low.Keywords : Zeytin, zararlı, populasyon değişimi
