The Effects of Applications of Organic and Inorganic Fertilizers in Different Doses on Yield and Components of Essential Oil of Echinacea Species (E. pallida and E. purpurea) Cultivated in Konya Ecological Conditions

Abstract :This research has been conducted under Konya ecological conditions insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(in the year of 2007-2008); to determine the effect on some yıeld and essential oil characters of organic insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(0, 500, 1000, 2000 kg/da); and nitrogen insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(0, 2.5, 5, 10 kg/da); fertilizers applied at the different doses of Echinacea pallida and Echinacea purpurea in Medicinal Aromatic Plants laboratory and Medicinal and Aromatic plants Experimental Farm of Field Crops Department, Agriculture Faculty, Selcuk Universty. Experiment was designed in randomized complete plot design with three replications. In this study; plant height, branch number, drug herba yield, drug leaf yield, essential oil yield and characters such as essential oil components were examined. According to results of this research; at the E. purpurea and E.pallida plant height 78.00-100.40 and 93.27-112.67 cm, number of branch per plant 9.53-26.67 and 16.60-29.53; drug herba yield 744.93-1135.00 and 621.80-1033.03 kg/da; drug leaf yield 487.00-753.37 and 376.40-650.33 kg/da; essential oil yield 0.25-0.36 and 0.17-0.26 %; germacrene-D yield of essential oil components % 50.90-54.60 and 21.30-28.10 % between respectively were varied. According to the results of this research; for the high drug and essential oil yield of Echinecea purpurea and Echinacea pallida in Konya and similar ecology 5 kg/da and 500 kg/da and 2.5 kg/da nitrojen and 500 kg/da organic fertilizer respectively with together application on the cultivation is concluded.
