Abstract :This research was carried out to determine technological and quality characteristics of some sweet corn varieties. The experiments were conducted during 2009 and 2010 at the Agricultural Faculty of Research Field, Eskisehir Osmangazi University. Seven sweet corn varieties insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Lumina, Merit, Sunshine, Jubile, Challanger ve Yellow Baby cultivars and 2201 experimental variety); were used materials. The experiment was designed as a randomized complete block with four replica-tions. There are statistically differences between varieties for technological and quality characteristics. Due to recorded average values; husk yield varied from 70.2% insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(2201); to 80.7% insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Sunshine, Challenger);, number of kernels on ear from 688 insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(2201); to 917 insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Lumina);, fresh kernel yield from 1437 kg/da insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(2201); to 1756 kg/da insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Sunshine);. Dry matter was varied between 34.2% insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(2201); and 39.5% insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Yellow baby);, soluble solid content varied from 13.8% insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Challenger); to 27.4% insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Yellow baby);.Keywords : Şeker mısır, çeşit, taze tane verimi, kalite
