The control practices have had great limitations, according to the fact that disease is an soil borne; therefore, infected fields were quarantined in Europe. In this study, practices and their results for the control of the disease were summarised. High level of achieve-ments could not be obtained in chemical control of the disease. However, the resistant potato cultivars have been determined. At present, the majority of the practices, as a effective control measurements for the disease are quarantine applications in all over the world. There is a need for detailed biological and chemical control studies on the disease.
