Abstract :This study was carried out to determine the growing ability of Malya lambs reared in the Prof. Dr. Orhan Düzgüneş Research and Practice Farm in Agricultural Faculty of Selcuk University for a period of 7 months after weaning. Body measurements of 23 female Malya lambs were measured monthly after weaning for 7 months period. The data were consisted of Live Weight insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(LW);, Withers Height insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(WH);, Back Height insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(BH);, Front Rump Height insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(FRH);, Chest Girth insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(CG);, Shin Circumference insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(SC);, Chest Depth insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(CD);, Front Rump Width insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(FRW); and Body Weight insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(BW);. The least square means and the standard deviations of the investigated parameters at the research were for WH 59.97±0.14 cm, BH 59.47±0.16 cm, FRH 57.08±0.20 cm, CG 72.38±0.38 cm, SC 7.27±0.06 cm, CD 23.04±0.12 cm, FRW 15.43±0.09 cm and BW 30.34±0.40 kg, respectively. The repeatability and standard deviation of the same traits were 0.182±0.083, 0.274±0.091, 0.259±0.090, 0.258±0.090, 0.488±0.093, 0.232±0.088, 0.155±0.079 and 0.463±0.094, respectively. Also, the phenotyp-ic correlations of these traits were investigated. The highest correlation was between WH and BH as 0.959, the lowest correlation was between SC and FRH as 0.678. In this research, there were highly phenotypic relationship between CW and BW. The estimated correlation coefficients were statistically significant insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(P<0.01);.
