Abstract :In this research, the pravailing situations of green areas in the city center and also the situations of the use and development of woody plants in Konya were examined.According to the cultural, social and economical situations of the research area, the green areas were classified in to five groupsas below; household gardens, public parks, strects and open spaces, school gardens, graveyards.
