Abstract :This study was conducted on 80 Akkaraman sheep at village of Ortakonak in Konya. The relationship between blood potassium type and body and fleece weight were examined whether blood potassium types were as a criteria of indirect selection or not. The potassium type of whole blood (ranged 12.6-89.9 mg/100 ml) were found as low potassium type for all the sheep. The relationship between blood potassium levels and body and fleece weights were not significant.
