Investigation of Performance of Homemade Farm Tractor Engines

Abstract :In this study, the performance of six different tractor engines which are commenly used in Turkey were comparatively investigated. These tractors were manufactured by four different compaines and consist of 85 percent of total number of tractors in Turkey. According to result of the study, we have observed that the specific power of engines, regulator sensitivity, torque reserve, elasticity of engines and efficiency of engines changed in a range between 12.44 kW/l and 16.39 kW/l, 4.85% and 8.48%, 8.1% and 24%, 1.66 and 2.7, 29.4% and 33.2% respectively.
