Abstract :This research was conducted to determine the effects of different plant densities on yield and yield components of two pop corn population as a second crop under Erdemli ecological conditions in 1991 and 1992. In this research which was arrenged in the \\\"split plot experimental design\\\" with two replications, pop corn populations (I and II) were placed into main plots and plant densities (5000, 6000, 10000 and 20000 plant.da-1) were placed into subplots by chance. Maximum grain yield was obtained in plots which were applied 6666 plant da-1 (50 x 30 cm) with 1021 and 817 kg da-1 respectively both 1991 and 1992. These datas shows the high yield potantial of pop corn populations as a second crop in this ecology. Generally yield components were also effected by plant densities, they were optimum level at sowing densities of 6666 plant da-1 and reached a balance each other. Keywords : 2.
