Abstract :A greenhouse experiment was carried out to find the effect of zinc application on the growth and some plant nutrient contents of maize plant. The 15 soil samples were used in the experiment. The results obtained from this study showed that the zinc application through soil caused significant increase in dry mater yield, zinc content and total zinc uptake of the plant. The average increases were found bet- ween 0.8 to 543%, 23 to 437% and 23 to 2192%, in dry matter, zinc content and total zinc uptake of the plant, respectively. These increases were found statistically significant at the 0.01 percent level. On the other hand, P, K, Ca, Mg, Na, Fe, Mn and Cu concentrations of maize were decreased by 36, 18, 14, 58, 36, 14, 32 and 59% as average, respectively. These decreases were found also statistically significant at the 0.01 percent level. Keywords : ÇİNKO, MISIR BİTKİSİ, ELEMENTLER
