The Effect of Sowing Dates on Grain and Protein Yield with Yield Components in Dwarf Dry Bean Varieties

Abstract :This research was conducted in order to determine the effects of different sowing dates on the grain and protein yield with some yield components in dwarf dry bean varieties in 1995 under Karaman ecological conditions. In this research which arranged in the \\\"split plot\\\" experimental design with 3 replications, 4 sowing dates (20 April, 1 May, 10 May, 20 May) and 3 varieties (\\\"Yunus-90\\\", \\\"Karacaşehir-90\\\", \\\"Yerli\\\") were used. According to the results of this reseacrh; the significant differences statistically were determined but among the varieties and among sowing dates in number of branches per plant but not in yield per decare. There were significant differences only among the sowing dates in protein yield, number of leaf, the height from soil of first pod. There were significant differences only among the varieties in protein yield, plant height, grain number per pod, 1000 grains weight. The highest grain and protein yield were obtained from first sowing date (20 April) and \\\"Yunus-90\\\" variety.Keywords : Kuru fasulye (Phaseolus vulgaris L.), çeşit, ekim zamanı.
