Abstract :This pot experiment was conducted to determine the effects of such nitrogeneous fertilizers as ammonium nitrate-AN, ammonium sulphate-AS, urea-U and barnyard manure and their levels on the fresh matter of leaf, leaf stems and roots of the spinach plant (Spinacia oleracea L.) different in various soils (clay loam and sandy loam) and under different seasonal (winter and spring) conditions. According to results, the highest fresh weight was obtained with the summer spinach plants grown in clay loam soil, supplied with urea fertilizer and 40 kg N/da level. On the other hand, the lowest fresh matter weight was determined in the winter spinach, in the sandy loam soil, in the barnyard manure and in the control groups (0 kg N/da). The yield was increased to a certain level but then decreased with the increasing levels of nitrogen added into the soils. Keywords : Ispanak, verim, amonyum nitrat, amonyum sülfat, üre, ahır gübresi.
