Abstract :In this study, the management problems of irrigation cooperatives established from 1965 to 1994 in Konya were investigated. According to the results of investigations; the irrigation has continued in 91 cooperatives (43%) of the 211 cooperatives established officially. The area which was irrigated by these cooperatives is 15% of the total irrigated area in Konya. The numbers of the farmers who made use of the irrigation services in 12.596 and the irrigation area of a farmer is 4.4 ha. When the Konya irrigation cooperatives were compared to Turkey\\\'s average, the irrigated area, the number of ground water wells, the irrigation module per irrigation cooperative, and the irrigated area per farmer for Konya were found higher than the average for Turkey.
