Abstract :The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of increasing levels of NH 4 -N, and NO3 -N and iron application on dry matter, active (Fell) and total iron contents of peanut grown on a calcareous soil under greenhouse conditions. The results were summarized as follows: 1. The dry matter, active and total iron contents of peanut were higher for the NH4+-N than that of NO3 -N treatments. 2. The avarage dry matter was decreased by N fertilizer while of Fe NO3 -N dose was increasing. 3. Effect of iron levels on dry matter content, for both NH4+-N and NO3-N were found as follows: Fe2>Fe3>Fe1>Feo. 4. The avarage active iron content of peanut, incerased by ascending NH4+-N and decreased by increasing NO3 -N. 5. The avarage active and total iron contents of peanut, increased by increasing iron contents for both NH4 -N and NO3 -N forms. 6. Although a possitive and significant correlation was found (r=0.461**, P<0.01) between the dry matter and active iron content, the correlation between the dry matter and total iron content was not statistically significant. Keywords : DEĞİŞİK AZOT, DEMİR UYGULAMASI, KURU MADDE MİKTARI
