Household Processed Meat Consumption and Purchasing Behaviour in Konya City

Abstract :In this study, disaggragate processed meat consumption and expenditure of household in Konya city were investigated with data obtained by questionnaire. Questionnaire data cover 396 households in different socioeconomic classes. According to relative importance, consumer preferences in research area for meat products are \\\"Freshness-Hygiene-Price-Seller and Brand\\\" respectively. In this study, per capita annual processed meat consumption was estimated 3.5 kg and suasage share in this consumption is 65.7%. Cluster analysis result shows that consumers are indifferences between attributes set of well-known brand Pınar and Maret, Beşler, Е.В.К. and Kon-et and Apikoğlu, İmamoğlu and Van-et.
