Abstract :This trial was conducted to determine suitable nitrogen dose for bread winter wheat variety \\\"Bezostaya\\\" in 1986-87 and 1987-88 under Konya- Çumra plain irrigated conditions. The rates of nitrogen was applied as ammonium sulphate at 0, 4, 8, 12, 16 and 20 kg N/da to winter wheat. The effect of nitrogen doses on grain yield, harvest index and agronomic efficiency of N fertilizer was found statistically significant (p<0.01). This effect has varied as depending on years. As mean of results of two-year experiment, the highest grain yield (460.4 kg/da), harvest index (34.6%), and agronomic efficiency (23.3) was obtained with 8 kg N/da application. According to LSD test, the differences between over mentioned highest values and values obtained by other N doses were significant (P < 0.05) .Keywords : : Buğday, amonyum sülfat, azot dozu, dane verimi
