Household Processed Meat Consumption and Purchasing Behaviour in Konya City

Abstract :n this study, disaggregate processed meat consumption and expenditure of households in Konya city were investigated with data obtained by questionnaire. Questionnaire data cover 396 households selected at different socio-economic classes. According to relative importance, consumer preferences in research are rated for meat products as \\\"Freshness-Hygiene-Price-Seller and Brand\\\" respectively. In this study, per capita annual processed meat consumption was estimated as 3.5 kg and sausage as the main consumption is 65.7%. Cluster analysis result shows that consumers prefer \\\"Pınar and Maret\\\", \\\"Beşler, E.B.K. and Kon-et\\\" and \\\"Apikoğlu, İmamoğlu and Van-et\\\" brands.
