Abstract :The aim of this study was to investigate the relation between copper level in blood plasm and fleece yield and quality of Konya Merino sheep. 191 Konya Merino were used to be animal material. The blood samples were taken two month interval for four times and copper levels were determined by the Atomic Absorption Spectrofotometer. The averages of copper level in blood plasm and fleece yield were 1.457 ± 0.029 µg/ml and 3.48 ± 0.06 kg, respectively. The average values for fibre diameter, ondulation, elasticity, resistance and staple length were 22.98 ± 0.18 μ. 71.32 ± 0.69 deg/mm, % 26.05 ± 0.51, 2.73 ± 0.08 g/den and 7.57 ± 0.53 cm, respectively. The correlation coefficiency between copper level and fleece yield, fibre diameter, ondülation, elasticity, resistance and staple length were 0.003, -0.087, 0.117, 0.280, 0.077 and 0.045, and not statistically significant. Keywords : : Koyun, Bakır, Yapağı Verimi, Yapağı Özellikleri.
