Abstract :This research was conducted to investigate the effects of N fertilizer applied in different dates and rates on tuber yield and protein ratio of a potato (Granola) grown in Niğde Misli Plain in a \\\"Randoınized Complete Block Design\\\". Although significant differences were observed between different doses of N fertilizer and tuber yield and protein ratio, there was no significant differences between application dates (2-3 times) and tuber yield and protein ratio. In the experiment, economical tuber yield were obtained from the doses of N fertilizer of 40.1 kg N da¹ and 36.7 kg N da¹ in Konaklı and Alay, respectively, applied in two different dates. Carbohydrate rates in tuber were increased up to the levels of N doses from which the economical tuber yield were obtained; however, over doses of N fertilizer resulted in significant decreases in carbohydrate rates in tuber.
