Abstract :The aim of this study was to determine nitrogen and phosphorus doses to obtain cconomical optimum root and unrefined sugar yield in sugar beet at 4 different locations in Konya plain for 2 years. The field experiments were set up in tivo factors with randomised complete block design. Four nitrogen doses (0, 15, 25 and 35 kg N/da) as urea form and thice phosphorous doses (0, 10 and 20 kg P2O5/ da) as triple super phosphate form were applied The results showed that to obtain sugar beet root and unrefined sugar yield in cconomical optinium level pure nitrógen ranging between 19.2 N kg/da and 26.9 N kg/da (average 23.2 kg N/da) and 16.5 N kg / da and 22.6 N kg/da (average 19.5 kg N/ da) should be applied as fertilisers, respectively. In addition, phosphorus doses that must be applied should depend upon the available soil phosphorus amount in soil. To obtain root and unrefined sugar yields in economical optimuni, level 3.0 kg P2O5/ da and 16.2 kg P2O5/ da (average 9.4 kg kg P2O5/da) and 1.97 kg P2O5 / da with 26.3 kg P2O5 / da (average 12.6 kg P2O5/da) pure phosphorus fertilisers should be applied, respectively. Keywords : Şeker pancarı, azot, fosfor
