Abstract :The purpose of the research was to group peat samples according to the marked color intensity of humin acids. For this, peat samples were taken from Trabzon, Muş, and Konya provinces. Peat samples were fractionated to 0-2, 2-6.35, and >6.35 mm. Decomposition degrees, C/N ratios, and color intensities of humin acids in 400, 500, 600, and 700 nm of peat samples were determined. Peat samples were grouped by marked visible absorption spectrums on the diagram. According to the results, while the Trabzon and Muş peat samples, which have low decomposition degrees and large C/N ratios, were placed in upward of Eo45 and Eo67 area, the Konya peat sample, which has a high decomposition degree and narrow C/N ratios, was placed in the downward of the area. A negative relationship between decomposition degree and Eo67 ratio was found. Keywords : Peat, torf, ayrışma derecesi, humin asitler, görülebilir alan absorpsiyon spektrumu
