Abstract :The aim of this study was to determine the effects of different rates of Zn and B on root yield, sugar content, and sugar yield of sugar beet, grown in Altınekin and Seydişehir locations in 1999. Zn and B were applied at four different rates (Zn₀ = 0 kg/da, Zn₁ = 1 kg/da, Zn₂ = 2 kg/da, Zn₃ = 4 kg/da and B₀ = 0 kg/da, B₁ = 0.5 kg/da, B₂ = 1 kg/da, B₃ = 2 kg/da). It was found that individual effects of Zn and B and their interaction (Zn x B) on root yield and sugar yield were found significant (P<0.01) in both locations. However, the lowest added effect of Zn x B interaction was statistically significant in Altınekin location. In this study the highest root and sugar yield, were obtained with 1 kg Zn / da + 0 kg B / da in Altınekin, and 1 kg Zn / da + 2 kg B / da in Seydişehir locations. Keywords : Bor, çinko, şeker pancarı, verim ve kalite
