Abstract :The study was conducted in three cage houses, which had been built at the rise tier cage type in Konya. In the research, the light density of cage tier, gangway between cages, and cage blocks were measured for different lighting program. The natural lighting levels of house-1, house-2 and house-3, as the rate of widow area to floor area, were 5.28%, 5.56 % and 5.20% respectively. However, the electric power (w) per floor area (m²) in artificial lighting for three cage house was found as 4.13 w/m², 2.87 w/m² and 4.45 w/m² respectively. The lighting by means of window, the average light density of one tier varied about 2-4 lüx, and it changed between 39 lüx and 63 lüx in four and five tier. The light density of cage blocks nearest the window was raised while middle blocks light density was reduced more in the houses where window placed near the cages. Keywords : kafesli kümes, aydınlatma, ışık şiddeti
