Abstract :This study was carried out to determine the effect of irrigation water salinity on pot yield and potassium uptake for fresh bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) grown in a greenhouse. First, five potassium rates, K_{0} = 0 K₁ = 100, K_{2} = 200 K_{3} = 400 and K₁ = 800 ppm K, applied as a potassium chloride solution. And then, the plants were irrigated with four salinity levels ( T_{0} = 0, 25 * dS / m , T_{1} = 1 * dS / m T_{2} = 2 * dS / i * n T_{3} = 3 * dS / m * l ) As a result, irrigation water salinity increased sodiuın (Na) content while it decreased fruit number and weight. The relationship between K uptake of the plant and other characteristics were found nonsignificant.
