Abstract :XX. yüzyılın en önemli yazarlarından biri olan Marguerite Duras, yapıtlarının genelinde çocukluk anılarından esinlenmiştir. Marguerite Duras, one of the most important writers of the 20th century, was inspired by his childhood memories in generally in of his works. These traces are often observed in The Lover (Sevgili) which is an autobiographical work. The memories of her brother and her mother are dominant in her many works. The paternal image is rarely seen because she had lost her father when she was a child. On the other hand, in The Afternoon of Mr. Andesmas (Bay Andesms’ın İkindisi) the paternal image is treated densely. Yet, the father is in a passive and weak position.
