Abstract :Özet: Bu çalışmada, Modern Mısır Edebiyatının önemli hikâyecilerinden biri olan, roman ve tiyatro yazarı olarak kabul edilen Mahmûd Teymûr’un hayatı, edebi kişiliği, eserleri hakkında kısaca bilgi verildikten sonra Nidâ’u’l-Mechûl (Bilinmeyenin Çağrısı, 1939) adlı eseri incelenmiştir. Söz konusu romanda konu, üslup, zaman, kişi ve mekân unsurları, edebî kaynaklar ışığında modern edebiyat kurallarına uygun olarak verilmeye çalışılmıştır. In this novel subject, style, time, person and space elements are tried to provide by the lights of literary sources and accordance with the rules of modern literature.
