Abstract :Öz: Endülüs’ün yetiştirdiği seçkin şairlerden olan İbn Hamdîs, Sicilya Adası’nda doğmuş ve gençliğinden itibaren şiirle ilgilenmiştir. Adanın Normanlar tarafından işgal edilmesi üzerine, Endülüs’e geçmiş ve edebi hayatını orada sürdürmüştür. Endülüs’ün zengin tabiatı, buradaki iç-dış mücadeleler ve vatan hasreti şairi, sürekli şiir yazmaya sevk etmiş ve bütün bunlar, şairin şiirlerinin daha güzel olmasında etkili olmuştur. Divanı, daha çok tasvir, medih, mersiye ve vatan özlemi ile ilgili şiirlerden oluşmuştur. Abstract: Ibn Hamdis is one of the outstanding poets of Andalus. He was born in the Island of Sicily and from his early ages interested in poetry. When the island was invaded by the Normans, he moved to Andalusia and resumed his literary life there. Rich nature, internal and external struggles of Andalusia, and homesickness constantly encouraged the poet to write his poems and all of these factors have been effective in his poems.
