Abstract :ÖZET Bu çalışmada Kıbrıs'ta kalıcı bir barış antlaşmasının yapılabilmesi için güvenlik ve toprak sorunu incelenmiştir. Kıbrıs'ta 1963-1974 yılları arasında Rumlar, Türkleri katletmiş ve göçe zorlamıştır. 20 Temmuz 1974'te Türk Ordusu bu zulme son vermiştir. Ancak Rumlar topraklarının TUrkler tarafından işgal edildiğini iddia etmektedirler. Oysa Türklerin elindeki mevcut topraklar i 946 yılındaki Türk topraklarının yarısını oluşturmaktadır. ABSTRACT This study atternpts to study the obstacles in the way of reaching a perpetual peace agreernent and the territorial problems in Cyprus. As it is well known, the Greek Cypriots slaughtered the native Turks and forced thern to emigrate betwen 1963 and 1974. On 20 July 1974 Turkish military troops had to intervene to put an end to these atrocitres, but the Greek Cypriots are still allegations that the Turks are but invaders, however the present area inhabited by Turks is only half of the lands which they owned in 1946.
