Abstract :ÖZET Şirvan Şah ve Şemail Banu hikayesi 16. yüzyılda İznikli Bekayl tarafından kaleme alınmış bir eserdir, Türk Edebiyatında, Klıisik öyküleme özelliklerinin izlendiği bu eserden hemen hemen hiç söz edilmemiştir. Rastlanabilecek bazı bilgiler ise tashih edilmeyi gerektirecek mahiyettedir. Bu makalede eserin müellifi ve kime sunuldugu tespit edilmiş, nüshanın özellilderi ve hikayenin özeti sunulmuştur. AB8TRACT The story of Şirvan Şah and Şemail Banu was written down by Bekayi of İznik in the sixsteenth century. In Turkish Literature, this work, whieh depicts classieal story techniques, has almost never been mentioned. Although there is some information about it, it requires correetion. In this artiele, the author of the work and the person it was dedieated to are shown, and the qualities of the copy ofthat work and the summary of the story are given.
