Abstract :ÖZET Türk toplumunda temel sosyal birlik olan aile, bUtUn sosyal bUnyenin çekirdeği durumundaydı. Türk topluluklarının dünyanın dört bucagına dagılmış olmalarına ragmen, varlıklarını korumaları, aile yapısına verdikleri bUyük önemden ileri gelmektedir. Aile kurumunun devamı yönUnde ise dogum olayının taşıdıgı önem tartışılamaz boyuttadır. Bu olayın istenilen., özelliklere sahip bireylere dönüşmesi de ancak bazı kuraııar~'riayetJe olur ki bu çalışmada dogtım öncesi olaylarından !iş erme Uzerine bir inceleme yapılacaktır. ABSTRACT Family, which was the basic social community in Turkish society, was the stone of all social body/ structure. The reason why Turkish communities have managed to preserve their main characteristics although they have Iived in various parts of the world is that they have given great signifinance to the construction of family. The importance of child- birth in the maintenance of family is obvious. Women are supposed to obey some rules during pregnancy so that children ofwanted qualities may be given birth to. In this study, "aº erme", which is one of the features of pregnancy, wiIJ be focused on.
