Abstract :ÖZET Bu çalışmanın amacı, XIX.yüzyıl ortalarında Bayburt'un sosyal ve ekonomik durumunu ortaya koymaktır. Makalenin en önemli kaynağı gelir kaynakları, hayvan sayısı ve vergiler gibi konuları içeren temettuat defterleridir. 1845'de Erzurum'un kazalarından biri olan Bayburt'un on üç mahallesi vardır ve Bayburt'ta en önemli geçim kaynağı tarım ve esnaflıktır. AB8TRACT The aim of this study is to expose social and economical situation of Bayburt in the mid -XiX. Century. The most important source of this article is Temettuat Registers which include subjects such as sources of income, number of animals and taxes. Bayburt, which was one of the towns of Erzurum in 1845, had thirteen quarters at the time and the most significant sources of living were agriculture and shopkeeping in Bayburt.
