Abstract :ÖZET İnsan vücudunun bazı organlarında, istem dışı sinir ve kas hareketi olarak tanımlanabilecek seyirmelere, dünden bugüne, gelecekte olacakların öncüsü, habercisi gözüyle bakılmıştır. Bu doğrultuda, oldukça geniş bir ilgi odağı haline gelen seğir-nâmeler kaleme alınmış ve bu türe özel bir değer atfedilmiştir. Hitap ettikleri toplumun, hayata dönük yüzünün ortaya konulması anlamında, gerek sosyolojik, gerekse folklorik bir kısım içerikleri ile de seğir-nâmeler, dikkate değer bir nitelik taşımaktadır. Anahtar Kelimeler: Seğirmek, kehanet, halk, folklor ABSTRACT The twitches, which can be defined as involuntary movements of some muscles or nerves of same organs in the human bady, have always seen as the forerunners or the messengers of the future. Fort his reason, seğirnames, which arouse a great attention, are written and a special importance is given to this genne. Seğir-nâmes are also significant for their sociologic and folkloric contents, in order to reveal the agelong customs of the society which they address.
