Abstract :ÖZ Bühlûl el-Mecnûn el-Kûfî, Kûfeli bir mecnunun ismi. Biz, ilk defa, ona, gelip geçenlerin sert şakalarına maruz kalmış bir budala ve kesinlikle bir Şî‘î ( yeteşeyya‘ ) olarak tavsif eden el-Câhız (ö. 255/869)’ın Beyân ’ında rastlıyoruz. İbnü’l-Cevzî (ö. 597/1201)’nin naklettiği veçhile, 188/804 yılında el-Kûfe’de Hârûnürreşîd’le görüşmesi ve belki de ona ikaz ve irşat yollu bazı sözler söylemesi mümkündür. Bühlûl’ün Bağdat’taki mezarı Niebuhr tarafından tasvir edildi ve 501/1100-1101 tarihli bir kitabe onu meczûb lar sultanı ve bir “karanlık, sönük ruh” ( nefs mütammese ) olarak gösterir. İnsanlar, onu Bühlûldâne, “akıllı deli” diye isimlendirdiler ve onu er-Reşîd’in akrabası ve soytarısı kabul ettiler ve onun akıl ve zekâsı hakkında kahvehanelerde hikâyeler anlattılar. Anahtar Sözcükler: Bühlûl, Hârûnürreşîd, el-Mecnûn, budala, meczûb lar sultanı, akıllı deli, soytarı. ABSTRACT Buhlūl al-Majnūn al-Kūfī, the name of a lunatic of al-Kūfa. We first meet him in the Bayān of al-Jāhiz (d. 255/869), who depicts him as a simpleton exposed to the rough jokes of passers-by, and definitely as a Shī‘ī ( yatashayya‘ ). It is possible that he met Hārūn al-Rashīd at al-Kūfa in 188/804, as Ibn al-Jawzī (d. 597/1201) reports, and perhaps he even addressed some remonstrances to him. Buhlūl’s tomb in Baghdād has been described by Niebuhr, and an inscription dating from 501/1100-1101 designates him as the sultan of the majdhūb s and as an “obscure, dim soul” ( nafs mutammasa ). People called him Buhlūldāna, “the wise fool”, and they made of him the kinsman and the buffoon of al-Rashīd, and they told stories in the coffee houses about his wit and subtlety.
