Abstract :Programs for children with specific learning disorder (SLD) often aim to improve reading and related academic skills. However, children with SLD are known to develop negative attitudes toward reading, which may reduce their engagement in academic activities. Supporting all developmental areas of children with SLD is essential for a successful school life. This position paper was developed based on a program designed to promote children’s development through dialogic reading. It provides a detailed explanation of how to use dialogic reading with children with SLD and how to support their cognitive, language, and motor development. In addition, this paper offers a roadmap for planning, implementing, and evaluating the program, which can be used by teachers and other professionals working with children in school or clinical settings. Keywords : Özel öğrenme güçlüğü, etkileşimli okuma, sosyal beceri.
