Abstract :This study provides a novel application in the field of color image encryption to enhance the security of optical communications. The technique used in this project is considered as a new approach to the complexity of encryption by the implementation of 6D hyper-chaotic systems with Fibonacci Q-Matrix. Moreover, it generates intricate and surprising patterns through the dynamics of hyper-chaos which are resistant to decryption. Additionally, the use of the Fibonacci Q-Matrix offers the benefit of the unique strategy of switching and further improves the flexibility of encryption. The specialty of the use of switching lies in saturating the rows of Fibonacci sequences. This elaboration develops the complexity of the guessing of the used strategy in encryption to be decrypted by the hackers for the further processes. The results of this study demonstrate a novel technique for encryption providing a substantial improvement in terms of security in optical communications. The proposed encryption method is effective in ensuring the confidentiality and security of sensitive data transmitted through optical channels. Furthermore, the algorithm’s prospects go far beyond theoretical developments, and it may be used in optical communication systems, using the 6D hyper-chaotic system. Alongside, the encryption process provides the appropriate level of security for real use. The implementation of the Fibonacci Q-Matrix into the algorithm strengthens it and increases its efficiency, and as such, it is a good solution for high-speed data transmission within optical networks. Given the escalating cyber threats, the development of advanced encryption algorithms to ensure the information’s security and confidentiality trans-mitted through optical channels is particularly important. This study adds to the increasing body of knowledge of such kind and, consequently, opens up greater opportunities for optical communication systems in various spheres to become more secure and reliable in data transfer.
