Student Support Services In Distance Learning System A Case Of DDE, Maharshi Dayanand University

In this paper, the author discusses Student Support Model in the Directorate of Distance Education insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(DDE); of Maharshi Dayanand University insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(MDU);. This model is two tier - the headquarters and the study centers. The paper focuses on the DDE programmes and the most important student support services insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(SSS); of the DDE of MDU both at the headquarters as well as on study centres. At the same time, it highlights the functions and activities of headquarter based study center and study centers situated in affiliated institutions. This study is based on the information gathered about the SSS of DDE, which will help the candidates in pursuing their studies through the Directorate of MDU.
