Abstract :Anne sütünün, bebekler için en ideal ve en sağlıklı besin ve emzirmenin bebeğe anne sütü vermek için en uygun yol olduğu değişmez bir gerçektir. Bu gerçekler, annelere emzirme danışmanlığı yapmanın önemini ortaya koymaktadır. Biz de emzirme danışmanlığı gereken 3 ay 10 günlük vaka sunarak emzirme danışmanlığına sadece yeni doğanda değil her ay gereksinim duyulabileceğini gösterdik ve kısaca emzirme sorunlarına yaklaşımı değindik. Bebeklerin anne sütüyle beslenilmesine başlanılması ve devamı için uygun emzirme danışmanlığı yapılmalı ve varsa olası sorunlar gözden geçirilerek çözümlenmelidir. Bu vakamızda olduğu gibi doğru emzirme yaklaşımıyla annenin sütünü kesilmesi ve bebeğin mama gibi besinlere veya tamamlayıcı gıdaya erken başlanması önlene bilinir. Anne sütünün verilmesi ve devamı; her izlem muayenesine getirildiğinde bebeğin beslenmesinin ayrıntılı sorgulanması ve gerekirse emzirme danışmanlığı hizmeti için zaman ayrılmasıyla mümkün olabilir. Abstract Breast milk is undeniably the greatest and healthiest nourishment, and breastfeeding is the most appropriate method. Advising mothers on breastfeeding is therefore crucial. We wanted to stress the importance of these facts once more by presenting this case report of a baby who was 3 months and 10 days old. We also want to emphasize that breastfeeding counseling should be provided not only during the neonatal period but also later in life. Babies with feeding issues and their mothers should be closely monitored, and potential problems should be identified. This case report shows that early supplementary feeding can be prevented with a correct approach to breastfeeding and milk insufficiency. This is possible if enough time is spared to investigate breastfeeding and its continuation, a detailed history of the babies’ feeding and feeding habits and to evaluate the mothers’ general well-being as well as the correct advice.Keywords : Breastfeeding, Breast milk, counseling, Anne sütü, emzirme, emzirme danışmanlığı
