Abstract :This article aims to give an account of the different meanings of the veil in Kabylia, more specifically in the town of Béjaïa. Far from limiting itself to a homogeneous reality, this article explores the \\\"maze of empirical realities\\\" of these women. The aim is to grasp the meanings they attribute to their veils, and to ascertain the extent to which these meanings are linked to, or indicative of Islamist socialization. Keywords : Islam, Veil, Religious practice
