Abstract :The aim of this study is to evaluate the efficiency of urban green spaces in the city of Aksaray, Turkey. The estimates are based on quantitative data obtained from Aksaray 1/1.000 scale development plans along with reports and field surveys. At the end of the study, it was determined that children playground, neighborhood-quarter parks, sports facilities and city parks which form the uses of Aksaray city urban green space fall below spatial standards in terms of size, per capita space, and show inequality distribution in all Aksaray city. By using findings, some suggestions relating to urban open-green space systems for the future are defined in terms of e sustainable urban development.
