Abstract :Buçalışma Jung eleştirisi ışığında Toni Morrison’ın Sevilen insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Beloved); adlı romanına ilkörneksel bir yaklaşımdır. Jung’a göre‘ortak bilinçdışı’ insanlığın bilgi deposudur ve bu bilgi nesilden nesile aktarılır. İlkörnekler ortak bilinçdışının içerikleridir. Persona, gölge, ben, anima – animus Sevilen’de karşılaştığımız Jung’cu kalıplardır. Jung, her birimizin hem biyolojik hem ruhsal anlamda karşı cinsin özelliklerine sahip olduğumuzu ileri sürer. Anima erkek ruhunun kadınsı tarafıdır; animus ise kadın ruhunun erkeksi tarafıdır. Toni Morrison Sevilen’de bu ilkörnekleri hünerle kullanır. Anahtar Kelimeler : İlkörnek, Anima, Animus, Jung Abstract : This study is an archetypal approach to Tony Morrison’s novel, Beloved insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(Sevilen); in the light of Jungian criticism. According to Jung, ‘collective unconscious’ is the knowledge store of mankind and this knowledge is transformed from one generation to other. Archetypes are the contents of collective unconscious. Persona, shadow, self, anima-animus are all Jungian patterns that we meet in Beloved. In this article, we tried to examine how anima and animus archetypes are represented in the characters in the novel. Jung asserts that each of us has aspects of the opposite sex both in biological and psychological terms. The anima is the feminine side of the male psyche and the animus is the masculine side of the female psyche. Toni Morrison skilfully uses these archetypes in her characters in Beloved.
