Abstract :The results of an infrared spectroscopic study are reported for four new urea complexes of the form M insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(urea);2 Niinsert ignore into journalissuearticles values(CN);4 insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(M = Ni, Co, Cd or Mn);. Their structure consists of polym eric la- yers of insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(M -Ni insert ignore into journalissuearticles values(CN);4); w ith urea molecules bound to m etal, M, through oxygen, sim ilar to the structure found in H ofm ann type hoşt complexes.
